6th Graders! Welcome to our first Science Blog! I look forward to reading all of your opinions and being able to learn from each other about the SUN and this great global warming topic. I will be requesting experts from the field of Meteorology to comment on our Blog as well so let’s get started!
In Earth Science, we have been studying THE SUN. After we read the chapter in the book and visited the NASA site about the sun in class, we discussed the fact that we were in a deep SOLAR MINIMUM cycle right now. I got to thinking that this made perfect sense as to one of the reasons why we have had such cool summers and cold winters for the past few years – despite the reports of Global Warming! I am posting the link to that site so everyone can review what it said and think about the information again.
